What a UP student is not

Intelligent! That is the first impression we can get from those people who knew that we are studying in the University of the Philippines or U.P. The students who passed the entrance exam and the UP students of course is called the "Iskolar ng Bayan".

Being a UP student is a tough job at all.It requires all your efforts to continue studying here.It needs focus and determination and if you can't give these two factors,then don't expect to be one. Are all UPians really intelligent?" Most UPians are brilliant but not all. I can not say that they are not intelligent. They are also intelligent but they are somewhat not taking it seriously there studies and that makes them that. The good things in UP are the school, the teachers, the quality of education and most likely the students. You can say all the good things about UP.

Upians stand out in any competitions but UPians do not have a long pride. UPians are humble because they know where to be in a situation. In addition, we know how to handle any situation as we possibly could. UP students is not that judge mental although sometimes they have their first impressions. UP students are not disrespectful. They always respect everyone, younger or older than them. I have observed all the things that a UP student must and must not do in order to continue studying in this university.It's just like other ordinary schools except for its very advance teachings and lessons.But aside from that,everyday is just like a normal day in every other high schools.You can see students playing here,chattering and talking about their crushes and stuffs that are not school-related.

What really comprise a UP Student?

A UP student is not rich. I know this isn't true for most of us. There are already a number of students who were accepted in this school even though they are financially rich. Some of us have cars those really expensive and branded cars. I wish I could have one too... At first, those cars were not shown when the registering time is there but when the school year starts, those cars were really shown here and there.

A UP student is also intelligent. They passed the entrance exam in UP and called Iskolar ng Bayan. Many of us nowadays have difficulty in some subjects, that definitely doesn't imply that those students are not worthy in this school. Out of the hundreds who took up that entrance exam, we were the ones who passed and were chosen, which means, we've got something to show off, right?

A UP student has unity. They give importance in every responsibility they may hold. They do not left any responsibility in nothing but they try their best to do something with it. The students always help with each other for the improvement of the school. They cooperate with each other. They do not let anyone interfere with their plans for the good of our school. Unity is always there.

Lastly, a UP students are really cute. Yeah! you are right! may of us were, you know..... Of course we can't say that we are not ugly because no one is ugly. haha!

I am so happy that I am a UP student becaus here in UP, we can enjoy and learn so many things though sometimes we had a hard time learning it. It is a very nice oppurtunity that is given to me to be part of UP.

max schulman's Love is a Fallacy (reaction)

The story love is a fallacy was a very interesting and a funny story. .It was very funny that the girl was already as clever as the guy in the end. Well,that story implied that patience is truly a virtue. I really appreciate the guy because of his patience that he showed to the girl. Though there is a time that he wanted to give up, but still, he continue teaching Polly Espy to make her his perfect wife to be and he really did a great job but he never win a date with Polly because he is already with Petey Bellows just because he had a racoon coat? What is with the racoon roat that made Polly Espy to date with Petey Bellows?It was also very funny that Polly chose Petey,who was very dumb than the Mr.Intelligent guy who is,obviously, intelligent.

In the story, the fallacies were defined and explained well. The story was really well organized. If you can read it, you will surely understand it well. You can really identify or define the characters in the way they are shown in the story. Like the Mr. intelligent guy who is really shown that he is a real intelligent one because as you can read the story, he teaches Polly Espy about the fallacies like Dicto Simpliciter, Hasty Generalization, Post Hoc, Contradictory Premises, Poisoning the Well and many more. as i said, these fallacies were really explained well.

I really feel sad for Mr. Intelligent who is really so patient in teaching those Fallacies to Polly Espy but he did not win her. He had a hard time teaching Polly Espy those fallacies but he did get the best return from Polly which is her. He also did something wrong because he was confident that Petey will choose the racoon coat because of his being stupid.In the end, Mr.Intelligent realizes that he made a mistake.But well, his mistake has done good to others. He made Poly Espy intelligent like him.

I was also amazed by the intelligence of Mr. Intelligent of course. as described in the story,his brain was as powerful as a dynamo, as precise as a chemist's scales, as penetrating as a scalpel. And as you read these descriptions, we can really see that he is really an intelligent one. He was just eighteen but he already knew about these things. Things to be used in reasoning out during court trials. Petey Bellows, for me however, really loves Polly. He wants a raccoon coat because he wants to be with Polly. I think, he already knows about Polly's interests- Big Men in the university so he decided to choose the raccoon coat instead of Polly at the first place because he already knew that time. Poor Man! He didn't know that Petey is somewhat wise. He used his brain well this time even though he was described in the story as dumb as an ok a nice enough fellow, you understand, but nothing upstairs, Emotional type, Unstable, Impressionable, Worst of all, a faddist. He is an oppisite person from Mr. Intelligent, right?

In this story, we can get so may thing. As I said we can get patience and most of all LOVE is not as easy as one....... two....... three....... and ABC. We need the brain to think.....and think.....and think the right thing to do.

Anime lover (part 2)

I have said in my previous posts that i do love Anime. I have discovered many anime series thanks to the internet. I have discovered this anime in titled Kimi ga nozomu eien(eternity you desire) if you wanna know something about this anime series, just read its story below.

STORY

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is a romance story, the central theme being an accident that profoundly affects the lives of a girl and her three high school friends.
The story begins by introducing Haruka Suzumiya, Takayuki Narumi, Mitsuki Hayase and Shinji Taira. Mitsuki sets Takayuki up with the shy Haruka and they begin to date each other, out of sympathy or other reasons involving Mitsuki and her deep friendship with Haruka. Despite having such problems occur, Takayuki and Haruka eventually develop an intimate relationship — just as Takayuki and Mitsuki start realizing their feelings for one another.
One day, Takayuki is running late on his way to meeting up with Haruka. This turns into tragedy when Haruka becomes involved in a very serious automobile accident and as a result falls into a coma. This puts Takayuki into a serious state of depression (as he feels that his lack of promptness caused the accident). As time goes by, Takayuki's mental condition grows worse and worse. Mitsuki begins to take care of him because she has feelings for him which she has always kept hidden. Eventually they start dating, and then eventually living together in Takayuki's small apartment.
Then, one day, three years later, Haruka reawakens from her coma, oblivious to the goings-on of the previous three years. In addition, she is diagnosed with anterograde amnesia. The doctors ask that she be kept uninformed of what has happened in order to protect her fragile psyche. After Haruka wakes up, Takayuki is conflicted with his feelings of guilt and responsibility and must choose between Mitsuki and Haruka. The bulk of the story focuses on the suffering of the characters because of this predicament.

Facts About The Series

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (君が望む永遠, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien? lit. The Eternity You Desire), abbreviated as Kimibou or Kiminozo is a Japanese adventure game created by âge, first released in 2001 for the PC, which was later ported to the Sega Dreamcat (by Alchemist) and PlayStation 2(by Princess Soft) as all-age versions.
An anime series, officially known as Rumbling Hearts outside Japan, was later adapted from the game; it aired between October 5 2003 and January 4, 2004, comprising 14 episodes in total. It has been regularly featured among the user-voted top ten anime on comprehensive anime guide web pages like animenfo. The Rumbling Hearts DVD volume one was released in North America on December 19, 2006. Volume two is expected in February and volume three, the last volume, is expected to be released some time in March.

It is really nice. Try to watch a part of it. The anime characters are really good looking ones. You'll really like the flow of the story. It's like a drama series that turned into an anime.

Max Schulman's Love is a Fallacy(Summary)

A young man at age eighteen who was very smart, acute, and astute.He described his powerful brain as a dynamo. He is studying at a law school and he is living with his roommate named Petey Bellows. Petey was attracted to the latest fashion trends like what the Big Men on campus wear. He heard Petey mumble and Petey wants a “Raccoon Coat” just like the buig men on campus wear. But he doesn't want a racoon coat because he do not feel comfortable wearing it. But there is one thing that Petey has, he is the first one to take for a date, Polly Espy. She is the most elegant and the most gorgeous girl he have so far seen. The way she eats and walks has the word elite on it. She was all he ever wanted, and all an intellectual guy like him would ever need.

He started to date Polly. They went to the movies, ate at a restaurant, and then he guided her home. He thought He really underestimated his task. It was easy dating Polly yet as hard as understanding her. She was so oppisite to him, she is so unintelligent. He had to teach her to be really fit for him as a wife. The next night he introduced to her the world of logic. She didn't seem to understand what that was about, but she was interested as well. Then he thought her about the fallacies of logic. She seemed to respond to every fallacy he introduced, just not the respond I wanted. She didn't seem to understand all I was saying. But then, I tried to keep my patience. She'll learn. I taught her the fallacies of Dicto Simpliciter, Hasty Generalization,Post Hoc, Contradictory Premises, Ad Misericordiam, Hypothesis Contrary to Fact.There was the time when he taught her about the only fallacy she correctly analyzed, the Poisoning the Well. She perfectly responded to the problem he gave her this time. That time, he was already filled with hope again. After the fifth night, He have made the perfect girl. Then, he tried on putting their dates from intellectual to romantic.


When he finally had the courage to tell Polly his feelings that he loved him,he was shocked to the way Polly replied to his words, that is, in a way that she make use of the fallacies. He told her that he doesn't have to apply the fallacies all the time in because these fallacies are only taught inside the a four-walled room but Polly still continued to reply him on those fallacies. Then he asked her directly if she'd accept his love. But he was surprised when she refused, and the reason is because she promised Petey she'll be his that afternoon. He was furious, and I asked her the question that would. "Why do you like Petey Belows?" Her answer was simple. "Because he has a raccoon coat."

I can't REACH you

I can't go near you. I can't even touch you. I think you are just a dream, a dream that will never come true. A fantasy that I can't just bring to life. You are very far away, a million light years away from me. It is very impossible for us to cross our each others way. I know you will just remain as an illusion, never reality.

I woke up one morning and nothing special to expect. Just an ordinary morning, waking up to go to school bringing my heavy bag full of stuffs like books and notebooks and ready for the class. That school day is just like the other school days, listening to the teachers, writting notes, exams and of course, jamming with my close friends and at the same time my classmates. After school, I went back home then put down my bag and turne the television on. It is such a surprise that I saw a cute, handsome guy that struck my heart. I never really in love with him, I just admired him. He is my dream guy. I wish that one day he will come and take me but I know that's too much. For now, he just serves as my inspiration.

He is a star. So many girls wants to be with him, not just me, waiting for the chance to to approach and talk to him then lining up to have an autograph signing. And me? What about me? I'll be covered by a thousands of girls not noticed by you. I could be the 999th girl lining up for you having that chance to look at you personally and face to face. Isn't it nice? Girls do anything just to have you. They build fans clubs to really show you that they really do idolize you. I wish I could be the president of the fans club just to really show to you that i really do like you but still it is not enough for me to be noticed by you. I don't know how I'll do it. I know you don't have a girl yet but there are so many girls in your world that really fits for you. I said that nothing is impossible but I know the real thing.

I am not fit for him. He has everything but me, I have nothing. He is so far away from me. I just want to see him smile at me. It makes me feel good because even if I know that I can't really have him, he still noticed me for just a moment.

I wish I could grab some few minutes from him just to be with him even for just in a little time. I wish I could have wings so that I could fly just to reach where your are even if how far you are. A little time with you is a lifetime for me but still I know it is impossible to reach you. I know I can't reach you.

Treasured Treasure

I saw the pictures the day before, and it would stay in my herat, mind and soul forever. Some people take for granted their parent's care for them and I do not really know why. They carried us in their womb for nine months with them, we haven't had happiness or experienced someone loving us, WEe were like a paper clip sized fetus in the womb of our mother but we made them so happy. I can still recall the things that my mom told me that she cried not because of loneliness but because of happiness that she bear a child and that is me. But know, look! we always spend our weekend in bars on malls, on the beach with our barkadas were we could find enjoyment. We left them so worried, thinking of what dangerous thing might happen to us. When we come home, we're bad tempered, the hot headed one who throws her bag on the floor and walk out the house again when we were scolded by our parents. Don't we think its just for our own good.

We want tobe free from their overprotectiveness, YES! it is true but but don't you think its too early for us to separate from them, to turn back our heads and think as if they have not done anything in our life but miseryWe curse them for they can't give us what we wanted, that they were poor. We were ashamed of our Dad's callused hands, of their life's mistakes, but when thye are gone, that is the time when we realize how unworthy we are to just throw away their love and their tender lo ving care and we missed that time to show them that we love them, that we also care for them, that we understand them, and most of all, to be proud of what they are.

When you are happy chatting with your friends, have you ever care about your curfewwhen you ask your parents some money, have you ever appreciated their hard work just to give that twenty peso billfare and that 100% trust they gave you that you'll do a school project? Our parents confronts us to give us a good direction for our future. They were so tired of reminding us of everyday things, but we just can't even listen to their advices. The tears they have shed when we started packing our bags to leave them. Dad's words didn't mean anything, we freaked out and shout at their faces that we don't need the anymore. When do we go if we are so in need and no relatives and friends that would accept us? of course in our parents because they love us so much. They even choose to have nothing as long as we have everything. Maybe later when we were just alone with out someone , when we were down, we realized that there is no people who can replace the parental love and care that our parents gave us.

When our parents saw us crying in the corner because we were wrong to let them down, don't we kwnow how happy they are to know that we already realize how impotant they were and we can't stand without them yet. We can remember those times when our mom gave us avery sweet and tight hugs to let us feel better when we are lonely daddy's sweet little candies that mends up our deep wounds. I wish I could go back to that time when thosse two important people who gave us this wonderful and meaningful and colorful world. I wished they have already passed away those sadness in their heart because of the person they have always loved, because of a me in their life. We know that our parents is not as precious as the diamonds that we wore. They are a million times precious as those diamonds.

So guys, let us love our parents forever for we don't gonna miss that happiest part of our life...... loving the one who gave us life. Parents is always a part oif our precious life for without them, it can't be this precious. Our parents is our one and only treasured treasure.

A Thing Called "lOvE"

Love is such a thing that is felt by all the people in the world. It is really impossible if you haven't feel it yet. We laugh and cried because of it. Love is magical. It makes the impossible be possible. Love makes people do crazy things. Love is unpredictable. Love is everything.

All of us love and loved. We cared for the people we love. We protect them in every danger. We are always there whenever we need help. Just like our family. We do have families, right? We do love our family. They are the one whom we can trust and stay forever. Our parents are the one who takes care of us. Our parents are the one who takes care of us. We can not be where we are now if not because of them. I'm really thankful to them.

A puppy love is experienced by us teens right now. We do have crushes and we admire people but we should not go beyond the limit. It is normal to have crushes but crush id enough for us now. Let our crushes be our inspiration to do better. We don't want them to be turned off. We should show them that we have something to show offso that they would like us too. Am I right guys? Don't be so struck by that puppy love thing. We don't know the real love thingy yet because we are still young, too many things to do and accomplish. Let it just be a puppy love for now.

Love makes people do crazy things. They would risk their own feelings for the one they love. For example, you relally love they guy but the guy loves somebody else. You would still want to be his girl even if he doesn't love you. It would still be okay for you if he is with another girl that he loves as long as you are his girl too. Isn't that crazy?!? You are making a fool of yourself if you do that. You would risk your feelings to him? What a girl you are!! You should find somebody else to love you like the way you love him. Just a little advice, don't ever give all your love . Give yourself also. Just like a guy decided to break up but the girl does love the guy so so much that he would risk everything she have. Then after the break up, you would rather destroy your life because its nothing if he is gone. Isn't it so crazy too? I hope they can realize that there is something more than that.

A long lasting love is a love that lasts long. Isn't it obwious? I really appreciate those two couples that really love each other so much. They had survive some of the trials of their relationship. They are still together despite of their problems they had encounter. Just like some of our grandparents that are still together, full of love and happiness.

God's love is the greatest of all. deapite the wrong doings that we did, God is still there ready to forgive and still accept us. We always have sins but God does not stop loving and protecting us.He is always there to listen to us if there is no one listening. We can tell Him everything. God's love is an unconditional love.

Love........Love.........Love........So many faces of love. Love is such a wonderful thing. Love makes the world go round. Love is pure. Love is absolute.
